Start the evening with this delightful Apple Cider Moscow Mule — ideal for holiday parties, a cozy Christmas at home, or sipping by the fire.

The holiday season is here — a time for travel plans, gift shopping, and gathering with loved ones. This year we’re taking a short getaway to the JW Marriott in San Antonio, TX, to relax and enjoy some family time. Staying at a hotel changes the usual routine, so I’m working out how to pull off presents and stockings with everyone in one room. If you have creative ideas for how Santa can deliver gifts in a hotel setting, I’d love to hear them.
ANY IDEAS ARE WELCOME.

No holiday season is complete without a new festive drink to serve guests. In past years I’ve shared Pomegranate Moscow Mules and Chocolate Marshmallow RumChata shots. This year I’ve added apple cider to create an Apple Cider Moscow Mule. We love warm apple cider during the winter — Shaun and I often choose it over hot cocoa — and it’s an easy nonalcoholic option to pour for the kids while you mix drinks for adults. For a festive finishing touch, garnish each mug with Honeycrisp apple slices and a cinnamon stick.
