Gluten Free S'Mores

A classic s’mores recipe adapted for gluten-free diets — homemade gluten-free graham crackers paired with your favorite gluten-free chocolate and marshmallows.

Ingredients:

  • 1 batch gluten-free graham crackers (see your preferred recipe)
  • 1 bag gluten-free marshmallows — use minis for oven preparation or full-size for campfire toasting. Choose corn-free varieties if needed for allergies.
  • 5 Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars (1.55 ounces each), each bar halved

Instructions:

    Oven Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to broil. Place a few marshmallows on top of one graham cracker for each s’more. Arrange them on a baking or broiling pan so they sit evenly. Broil just until the marshmallows puff and turn lightly golden; broil longer if you prefer a darker toast. Remove from the oven and immediately top each marshmallow-covered cracker with a graham cracker half and a piece of chocolate; the residual heat will soften the chocolate. Let cool slightly before serving.
  2. Campfire Method:
  3. If toasting over a campfire, use a clean skewer or stick. Roast a large marshmallow over the flame until it reaches your preferred level of toast. Sandwich the hot marshmallow between two graham cracker halves, add a piece of chocolate inside the sandwich so it melts from the marshmallow’s heat, then press together and let it cool slightly before serving.
